Hi Bryce, just before sending the above report, screen saver "Hyperspace" was active, having far less than 1 fps. After moving the mouse and pushing a key on the keyboard, it took ~ 30 seconds to actually exit the screen saver. Right after that, I issued the command You told me.
There's still the other thing, that some programs crash the desktop- effects. But as I'm not certain whether or not it is relied to this bug or if it's a good idea running this apport command twice, I will not do so. I'm really glad and thankfull that someone takes care of my problems - even though it's just a automatic response so far ;-) . I consider myself as a quite experienced linux user, and I'd be happy to provide any more infos for pinpointing the root of my problems. The real bad thing is that I can't reproduce it on purpose. Eg. Google Earth: Most times when I start up Google Earth, it has less than 1 fps. But quitting and relaunching it several times (without doing anything else) sometimes helps and it would act normally. -- Graphic acceleration sometimes not working https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/573296 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
