Affects me too. Gwibber-service implies that there are no problems, but I don't get any updates, nor do any of my updates make it through. Using the Search *does* work.
I've tested Gwibber with Flickr and that updates fine. I've done: sudo aptitude purge gwibber gwibber-service dektop-couch sudo aptitude install gwibber gwibber-service desktop-couch rm -rf ~/.cache/gwibber/ ~/.cache/desktop-couch ~/.local/share/desktop-couch gwibber-service -o -d OUTPUT: Updating...
