All right!!  It seems to have fixed my issue :). Mem=1G allowed me to
boot the amd64 installer.

1.2.2).

One of our eminent system engineers suggested that I should add "mem=1G"
as a boot option. This made the Ubuntu 10.04 amd64 live cd boot with no

Bug description:
I have download the lastest LiveCD 
(http://releases.ubuntu.com/karmic/ubuntu-9.10-desktop-amd64.iso)
Check with MD5sum, burn in 4X & burn 3 times ! (not on RW)

I boot on this CD, I have choice to select 'live mode', 'install it' ...
When I select any choice, it hangs on the blinking cursor "_"

My Computer : DELL OPTIPLEX 740
