After update to 0.8.2-0ubuntu1~ppa2 the crash report after boot no longer occurs. However, no splash animation is visible during boot- text mode blank screen, then kms text mode screen with a few console messages, then GDM login screen. Animated splash appears only during shutdown/reboot, and during regular disk checks, which appear to terminate at 73%.
