Wheee!  THIS bug again.

It's starting to look as if I'm going to have no choice but to revert to
either Hardy or find myself a new distro if this is how broken Beta 2 of
Lucid is at this late date.  Notice I say Hardy and not Karmic, because
there is something in Karmic making my eeepc run hot all the time.  What
is it the guy from array.org was able to do that the Cannonical
developers seem incapable of figuring out?  And before anyone trots out
that tired "esoteric and non-standard hardware" excuse, please consider
the rapid growth of the netbook category in the past year or two and try
to realize this excuse no longer flies, no matter how much trust you
shove into it.
