I use XViDCap for screen casting. If I try to record sound with it, the
sound won't record, despite having selected my microphone.

Kega Fusion (a SEGA emulator) will not work properly with its sound
enabled, it just goes weird, but works better if I close all other
programs, but it still doesn't work smoothly with sound unless I'm using
the Windows version in Windows (and not Ubuntu).

I'm sure there are other programs that don't work properly with sound.
I don't know the the technical reasons behind all this, but I know
there's a bug somewhere. Why would you need to close other programs to
play sound in one?

Thanks for reading.
