Ah, thanks for taking a look Andrew. I clearly should have been a little more explicit about what is required. I can't help thinking that writing-up a spec for this change would be a little bureaucratic!
As you say, the --with-libkarma configuration flag is required. Three new files will be compiled so those will need to be added to the debian.install file. They are: * /usr/lib/kde3/libamarok_riokarma-mediadevice.la * /usr/lib/kde3/libamarok_riokarma-mediadevice.so * /usr/share/services/amarok_riokarma-mediadevice.desktop Finally, the libkarma0 package is required and libkarma-dev is a build requirement. I don't think the karma-tools package is required. Additionally, OMFS is required - the kernel module to support the Karma file system. I don't think this is a package at the moment. See http ://linux-karma.sourceforge.net/rio-usb.html. I've managed to get my Karma auto-mounting by using the settings files listed here, although in Feisty there's no need to manually create the mount-point: http://www.mail-archive.com/linux-karma- devel%40lists.sourceforge.net/msg00258.html I guess it'd be handy to suggest to the HAL package maintainer that these settings files be added to the package, but I'm a bit loathe to try after the reception of this bug! -- Please package Amarok Rio Karma support (--with-libkarma) https://launchpad.net/bugs/89591 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
