Hi Yohan, here is the information I obtained by querying the file properties. I don't know how the 128 kpbs equates to bitrate across the wireless-n connection but it should be really low compared to video. wireless-n is supposed to be capable of streaming HD video media across the local network, if it can't handle streaming audio something has to be wrong somewhere. The adapter and my Linux box are a few feet apart, I have 100% signal strength.
I am in the process of installing Karmic to see if the WUSB600N has the same issues when running on that version of the OS Size: 4.33 MB (9% of original, 10 to 1 compression) Original Size: 46.55 MB Length: 4 minutes 36 seconds Channels: 2 (stereo) Sample Rate: 44.1 KHz; Sample Size: 16 bit Bit Rate: 128 kbps Encoder: AAC (LC) Encoder Settings: Audio Quality: Medium (Lossy) ".... What is the bit rate of your AAC audio files ? I will try to understand, with the source files, how the bit rate given by the "iwconfig" command is computed and try to know the real bit rate.
