Oh, I give up. Amarok saw the disk while banshee was playing it, but couldn't play anything from it. Qut Banshee then Amarok couldn't play any track from it. However, after a while, popping the CD in and out, nothing gets noticed in either banshee or Amarok. First Amarok didn't even notice that the CD got ejected. Quit Amarok put the audio cd back in, and Amarok didn't see it. Neither did banshee.
However I can open the disk by using the command "dolphin audiocd:" only. But it doesn't show on the left. VLC can still play the audio CD with it's "Open Disc" command using /dev/sr0 or /dev/sr1 depending on where I put the disk.
