No. Web pages also print unsatisfactorily from Konqueror, but the symptoms are fundamentally different and so also, I am sure, are the causes. I attach a PDF generated from cups-pdf of Konqueror's rendering of the same file which I used to illustrate the original bug report. To gain an idea of how much text (to say nothing of the footer) is being truncated from the bottom of each page, be sure to compare the PDF output with the original document on the web.
I am not surprised that the causes would be different. Konqueror uses KDE print routines; Firefox (along with most other applications which are not "native to KDE") uses standard Ubuntu print routines which, I presume, are based on GNOME. Since I do not use GNOME, I am in no position to test, but I wonder if Firefox's problems would occur if the Ubuntu packagers had used Mozilla print routines rather than their own. ----- Original Message ---- > From: Micah Gersten <launch...@micahscomputing.com> > To: b...@brmiller.ca > Sent: Thu, January 7, 2010 1:40:51 PM > Subject: Re: [Bug 503693] Re: headers and footers in Firefox 3.5.6 and later > overprint main text > > Ok, so well, does Konqueror exhibit the same problem as Firefox?
