I'm running feisty on an Asus P5W DH Deluxe. It _has_ a JMicron JMB363
SATA controller in it, but it also has a Intel ICH7R Southbridge which
controls 3 SATA connectors on the board.

My drives are connected to the Intel ICH7R connectors, not the JMicron.
Nothing is plugged into the JMicron and I get the exact same behavior as
that described here. Specifically, the boot drive is not recognized,
modprobe complains and I end up in Busybox (if I wait long enough). The
behavior has been present since the update to 2.6.20-8 and persists in
2.6.20-9. I have not tried disabling the JMicron controller, but will
be glad to.
