Hmmm... no WPA doesn't help a lot.... I still have the old 2.6.28-14-generic kernel installed and available in GRUB. My Xubuntu-installation still works with this kernel... including WLAN & WPA2. But it's not a 100% solution since I experience some troubles with my X when running the "old" kernel and the "new" 9.10 Xubuntu: sometimes, my external monitor gets filled completely white while the internal LCD remains intact. The only way to fix that is to restart X... :-(
Some from my point of view / on my machine there are two choices: * Run the new kernel with permanently working X and permanently no WLAN/WPA * Run the old kernel with occasionally breaking X and full WLAN/WPA Make your choice..... -- hang during boot until orinoco drivers re-enabled https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/461654 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
