I can confirm that for a A31p with Prism2.5. The hostap driver worked up to 2.6.28-14-generic and starting from 2.6.28-15-generic the system hangs upon loading the hostap_pci module (either automatically during booting or manually).
In case this is of any use to you, here's the configuration of my prism card: NICID: id=0x8013 v1.0.0 (PRISM II (2.5) Mini-PCI (SST parallel flash)) PRIID: id=0x0015 v1.0.7 STAID: id=0x001f v1.7.4 (station firmware) The following software versions are currently installed: Kernel: 2.6.31-16-generic on a Xubuntu 9.10 hostap-utils: 1:0.4.7-1ubuntu1 hostapd: 1:0.6.9-3 Any ideas how to get WLAN working again?
