Public bug reported: I just received two closely related DVD-R produced by Neff Video Productions of 21 E. Hebble Ave., Fairborn OH 45324-5012, phone 937-878-7173, fax 937-878-5666, E-mail neffvi...@aol.com, identivied as order # NO26 and # NO59, with titles Electric Railways of Chicago Part 1 & Part 2. Both videos are copyright 2000 by Steve Neff.
When the Part 1 video (# NO26) is placed into the optical drive of my IBM Thinkpad T42 laptop, My Ubuntu 9.10 system properly identifies the DVD as a movie video and properly offers to start the Totem Movie Player 2.28.2 using GStreamer 0.10.25. But when I put the Part II video (# NO59) into the optical drive, Ubuntu appears to be totally unaware that I have done so. Since this is a dual boot machine, I restarted the machine under Windows XP with the Part II video (# NO59) still in the optical drive. Windows XP had no difficulty in identifying the Part II disk as a Movie, and likewise had no difficulty playing the video with its Windows Media Player software. Note that I draw software from the third party source: Medibuntu - Ubuntu 9.10 "karmic koala".
