Got further...  looks like the brasero & sj bits are ok.  The extraction
uses a gstreamer pipeline that starts like:

gst-launch uridecodebin uri=cdda://7 ! fakesink

Running this does gst-launch does reproduce the scsi_read errors.  I
don't know how to be absolutely sure, but I bet that the URI uses the
cdparanoiasrc element.  So I tried:

gst-launch cdparanoiasrc track=7 ! fakesink

And, again, I have scsi_read errors.  So now I'm thinking it's a
gstreamer (cdparanoiasrc) problem.  My versions:
