Could you please clarify your previous message. Are you stating that a computer which does have internet access failed to update?
As for the ping test, if it is possible, you can copy-n-paste the message to a text file and save it to a floppy disk or a usb thumb drive and then upload the file using a computer with working internet connection. If it isn't possible, could you please give a description of what happened? If the ping test failed, then there is something wrong with the network configuration, and more diagnostics will be needed.
