*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 312491 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/312491
Looking at the attached dpkg-log, the following line shows the following reason for this problem: dpkg: error processing /var/cache/apt/archives/language-pack-gnome-de-base_1%3a9.04+20090413_all.deb (--unpack): failed in buffer_write(fd) (11, ret=-1): backend dpkg-deb during `./usr/share/locale-langpack/de/LC_MESSAGES/gnome-media-2.0.mo': No space left on device "no space left on device" means that simply the disk ran out of space here, I don't think this is a problem of the package itself. Therefore I am closing this as duplicate of a bug where the error message is discussed, please try to make more space available on your harddrive and then try again. If you think there is a problem with too much space usage somewhere, please create a separate bug report that provides the relevant information. See also Bug #312491 which discusses improving the error message in this case. ** This bug has been marked a duplicate of bug 312491 Failure to update add/ or remove programs -- package language-pack-gnome-de-base 1:9.04+20090320 failed to install/upgrade: https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/363869 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
