*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 312491 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/312491
Looking at the attached dpkg-log, the following line shows the following reason for this problem: dpkg: error processing /var/cache/apt/archives/openoffice.org-core_1%3a2.4.1-11ubuntu2.1_i386.deb (--unpack): failed in buffer_write(fd) (11, ret=-1): backend dpkg-deb during `./usr/lib/openoffice/program/libxof680li.so': No space left on device "no space left on device" means that simply the disk ran out of space here, I don't think this is a problem of the package itself. Therefore I am closing this as duplicate of a bug where the error message is discussed, please try to make more space available on your harddrive and then try again. If you think there is a problem with too much space usage somewhere, please create a separate bug report that provides the relevant information. See also Bug #312491 which discusses improving the error message in this case. ** This bug has been marked a duplicate of bug 312491 Failure to update add/ or remove programs -- package openoffice.org-core 1:2.4.1-11ubuntu2 [modified: usr/lib/openoffice/program/oovbaapi.rdb usr/lib/openoffice/program/services.rdb usr/lib/openoffice/program/libxo680li.so] failed to install/upgrade: failed in buffer_write(fd) (11, ret=-1): backend dpkg-deb during `./usr/lib/openoffice/program/libxof680li.so' (Wierd Mounts and Missing Packages from repositories) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/460243 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
