I suspect this bug is related (but perhaps not identical) to the problem that Andy Isaacson reported on here:
http://www.spinics.net/lists/linux-input/msg04193.html Most of the times, I can "unstuck" the button and get the missing button-release event by moving the pointer with the touchpad (but not with the pointing stick). I booted the kernel with i8042.debug=1, and looked at the output from i8042.c in /var/log/kern.log. For normal ButtonPress and ButtonRelease events, I get six bytes of data (details attached): press: ff 69 28 29 5d 00 release: ff 69 28 28 5d 00 But occasionally when I release the button, I get what looks like an additional ButtonPress event, plus an additional six bytes of data: ff 69 28 29 5d 00 ff 00 00 08 00 7f This results in a missed ButtonRelease event. ** Attachment added: "Output from i8042.c" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/35578385/kern.log -- Mouse behaves strange on clicking in graphical environment https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/444674 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
