This problem is also an issue for digikam as well and has been for several releaeses including the present one Karmic
In order to get my Sony DSC-H2 working with digikam I must unmount it from the desktop so that PTP works in Digikam, I have a basic and possibly naive question: Why are cameras that use PTP being mounted at all when many photo apps need the device unmounted to function?
