uname -a
Make sure it comes back with 2.6.31 in the version. Something like:
"Linux bradf-home 2.6.31-14-generic #48-Ubuntu SMP Fri Oct 16 14:05:01
UTC 2009 x86_64 GNU/Linux"
Please attach the output from the uname command along with your
/boot/grub/menu.lst file.
