This setting does not persist across reboots, so if you've already made changes to grub and rebooted, then the DOS setting is not related to your problem. Also, the documented difference between 4 and 0 (the in-kernel default) is only whether the BIOS changes the screen brightness on power events, so it shouldn't have anything to do with your suspend/resume anyway... -- Steve Langasek Give me a lever long enough and a Free OS Debian Developer to set it on, and I can move the world.
