I concur that with MythTV 0.21, changing the output device to "ALSA:front" (didn't need to do the rest) works fine, but the audio from the rest of the system halts as previously described.
MythTV 0.22 works with "ALSA:default" as the output device, but audio from the rest of the system is still freezing. In fact, it gets all queued up (have a look at all the PulseAudio messages in /dev/shm). When you quit MythTV, all of a sudden the queue plays all those pending sounds all at once. Somehow MythTV just monopolises the audio system in Karmic - completely blocking out PulseAudio and any other ALSA-using apps such as MilkyTracker, etc.. -- [ubuntu karmic] mythtv regression - no audio in frontend https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/414490 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
