Public bug reported:

In any games that use SDL for input (Quake 3, for instance), the mouse is
unusable while any key is being pressed.
If only one key is being depressed, the mouse will jump in odd angles in the
direction it is moved. If two or more keys are depressed, the mouse does not
work at all, including buttons.

I've experienced this in ioquake3 as well as in other SDL games, e.g.,
skulltag.
