I don't know.  After the second time it happened, I clicked the "delete"
button on the error.  The error says something about the tomboy applet
not loading properly, then asks if i want to delete or not delete the
applet from the configuration.  The first time I chose "not delete"
hoping it was fixed just from the deleting ~/.gnome2/panels.d, but it
happened on next boot, so I chose "delete" that time.
