I hate to repeat things and sound like a screaming lunatic, but this is the argument for syncing maven NOW instead of AFTER release:
YOU CANNOT RUN THE MAVEN INCLUDED IN KARMIC. This package is BROKEN. If you do not either sync from debian or revert libplexus there will be NO use for having a maven2 package in Karmic at all - you might as well just drop the package entirely rather than give the false impression that you have an (old but working) version in the software repo. -- [FFe] Sync libmaven packages from Debian unstable https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/427539 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
