Hi, I have the same problem since alpha5. Getting a blank sceen after login (login ui is fine). I can see and move cursor and get to cmd and issue 'metacity --replace' which brings back the screen. so perhaps problem is with compiz. same happens when deleting xorg completely though. I tried Tormod Volden MESA package and i get to log in and see desktop and all seem well. but than i tried activating desktop effects and it happened again.
