Addendum: Got to reading the forums and decided to try something. I still had the game open. I cleared one box, closed Sudoku, opened Sudoku, filled in the one empty box (with the same number of course) and. . . TA-DA!!!! So much for the alternate solution theory. btw, I never use hints (yes, I'm bragging, but that's just cheating ;-)
