Hi Ken, I see the following in your DpkgTerminalLog file:
dpkg-deb: `/var/cache/apt/archives/linux-image-2.6.28-15-generic_2.6.28-15.49_i386.deb' is not a debian format archive dpkg: error processing /var/cache/apt/archives/linux-image-2.6.28-15-generic_2.6.28-15.49_i386.deb (--unpack): subprocess dpkg-deb --control returned error exit status 2 I think you may have downloaded a corrupted .deb file. Can you try deleting /var/cache/apt/archives/linux- image-2.6.28-15-generic_2.6.28-15.49_i386.deb and try updating again? Thanks. ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid -- package linux-image-2.6.28-15-generic 2.6.28-15.49 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess dpkg-deb --control returned error exit status 2 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/415791 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
