Thanks for your reply, AceLan Kao. I tried to install this package linux-backports-modules-jaunty, but it didn't work. Probably because I already did a lot of changes here (removing modules, installing and purging ndiswrapper, etc). I don't have time to format my machine now, but when I have time, I will do it to test.
BUT, my brother did a fresh install of Ubuntu 9.04 on his computer and Ubuntu was freezing with this same bug. I said to him to install this linux-backports-modules-jaunty and it seems that it resolved his problem. No freezing anymore. Also, he had to install this package on his Toshiba netbook to have wireless working. It seems this package is in development, but it would be very nice if a stable version of it can be release with Ubuntu 9.10, so a lot of people won't have this problem anymore. This bug is "fixed", but not yet "officially fixed".
