Thanks for adding your comments. I cannot believe we are the only ones posting this problem. I have being involved with linux for a number of years now and have noticed its progression in many ways. Unfortunatly no matter what people try to tell you, I can tell you now that linux's support for hibernation and power saving in general is shaky at best, it is completely hit and miss depending on what laptop you have. I just find it hard to beleive that linux/ubuntu has such a hard time supporting a technology that has being around for so long. The time this bug has being posted and the unconfirmed status shows their commital to the subject.
