Confirmed.  Same problems:

I tried symlinking /lib/firmware/aic94xx-seq.fw into the /lib/firmware
/<kernel-version>/aic94xx-seq.fw, and also download the latest firmware
from Adaptec.  Still no luck.  Ubuntu/Debian needs this fixed.  I've got
4TB offline right now because of it.
