yes, with jaunty it's the same, see below.
I have updated to karmic, but still running the 2.6.28-12-generic kernel, as I 
have following 
issues with 2.6.30
squashfs now supports v4 fileformat, with .28 I have a v3 fileformat.
That's not the problem, my problem is, that both unionfs and aufs are missing 
in .30 kernel (Am I right?)
I assume somehow, that this problem vanishes .30 kernel..
