It's more pops and clicks - suggesting either a latency delay for a few milli-seconds or the odd usb packet loss. My gut feeling is that it is delay rather than loss.
Spotify caches tunes in the Windows file system and you get the same problem replaying a track from the cache - so it doesn't appear to be buffer exhaustion due to delay over the TCP network.
