Hi Jak, the workaround given by Anmar worked perfectly, at least in my case where the shit key was not working. Have you tried it ? Maybe by setting the default preferences in the CompizConfig you will make all your keys work.
1. Go the System > Preferences > CompizConfig Settings Manager. If you don't have CompizConfig Settings Manager installed, you do so by opening a terminal and typing "sudo apt-get install compizconfig-settings-manager" 2. Launch the CompizConfig Settings Manager. On the left column there is a "Preferences" button. Click it. 3.Click on the "Reset to Defaults" For me, it seems that some of the keys or key combinations are "stolen" by listeners of some compiz plugins. cheers 2009/4/27 jakradice <jrad...@gmail.com> > I am totally new to ubuntu.
