Oh wow, that was fast! =D (The new version just downloaded) The good news is that it does show up in the Gnome Menu now! :)
There is a bit of bad news however :/ The new desktop file has an entry: Icon=teg which gets it to use /usr/share/pixmaps/teg.xpm which is not very pretty (~8 colors?)
