mountdevsubfs.sh script comes from initscripts, it uses lsb functions,
but that's not the point -- it tries to mount /dev/pts but thinks it
either does not exist or is mounted and skipts that. So I suspect
permissions problem, or initramfs problem. I would like to help solve
that but don't know a way to debug things that early in the boot
process.
