This has been corrected, at least on coreutils 7.10 (not available on Ubuntu Jaunty, since it depends on trunk automake to build).
"info coreutils 'chmod invocation'" returns the correct info page; the same happens with "info coreutils chmod", or "info coreutils 'chmod'".
