The hardware for tripplite_usb isn't hooked up to that computer at the moment, but I tried simulating a crash on /lib/nut/bestups, /lib/nut /usbhid-ups, /sbin/upsd and /sbin/upsmon. None of those generated any output in /var/log/apport.log
Just to see if apport was working, I killed /usr/sbin/collectd (runs as root) and /usr/lib/gdm/gdmgreeter (runs as user "gdm") and both of those created crash dumps in /var/crash, as well as generating a log entry. So it doesn't seem to be a permissions problem (the NUT binaries all run as user "nut"). -- apport doesn't seem to catch a SIGSEGV in NUT https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/240565 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
