Nobody here is saying that sync apps should not exist.  We're just saying that 
sync app for only one specific platform doesn't need to be part of the default 
install.  If there was an app that could sync a Palm Pilot, iPhone, G1, 
Blackberry, etc all in just one application, that'd make sense to include.  
But in this case, we've got a default app that only works for one kind of PDA.

I'd also be in favor of making the HP printer toolbox non-default, even though 
I have one.
