A phone is not a part of the computer's hardware. Period.  A network interface 
is.  Network interfaces are currently unusable in situations where VPNs are 
required.  VPN software by default has been requested before for this reason.  
There were not many responses, but space requirements on the CD were cited.

Yes, being able to sync a PDA is essential for some business people.  Choosing 
to install it from Add/Remove is certainly not comparable to a 28-page ordeal.
