Funny that, It was fine up till the 20th but some recent updates have seen the re-introduction of this problem where the kernel stalls when trying to memory map to PCI devices again. At least it doesn't take as much to get it booting as last time (boots on 2nd or 3rd try now not 5th or 6th) but I was hoping to see the end of it with the move away from kernel 2.6.19-2
Oh well. Win some, loose some (: Some other things are working now that were a proiblem like compiz from the desktop effects panel now stick with reboots and Duluge is working no unlike initially. Also not sure if ALSA firmware has been updated to incude all cards the source can make but I haven't had an issue with my Echo Gina 3G's firmware loading with kernel updates. Mono also is stable too. Feisty 64 is coming along and a great improvement for Linux. My Girl Friend even like to use it which is great from a non computing user perspective. Only other thing I'd like to see aside from working out how to get all out of my Gina 3G is the Nvidia-Settings stick with reboots. The TV out Overscan and Saturation settings never stick so I have to run the control pannel every time I boot into Feisty. Still, at least I can use TV out on the current Nvidia Linux drivers unlike in Windows XP which has me using a old version because the new drivers don't work with component and 480i settings. Hell, I even have audio in Feisty64 unlike Vista64 LOL. Here's to Ubuntu :) Now if we could get Adobe Creative Suite to run natively in Linux with Printing support for I'd move our Graphic Workstations over in a heart beat at work.
