Hello Ben, Here is a output of dmesg from the next successful boot but I didn't comment out splash and quiet from my grub boot menu.
I trust that wouldn't effect the output of dmesg if so then let me know and I will see what happens. This problem is not as annoying as with kernel 2.6.19-2 as I get a successful boot after my first try with the 3 fingered salute..
