i have to say that i have fixed my problems after 6 months of misery :) thanks god..... my problem was the psu..i didnt suspect it coz it was a new 600W one....but it was a cheap chinese brand..once i replaced it by an old 300w one my computer worked perfectly without any problems and i dont get any sata errors in the kernel log... nevertheless i put the 600w psu in a newer computer ( having xp only) it worked without problems !!! hope ur problem got fixed like mine....thanks for ur efforts
