Geir, I'm using stock xorg.conf (I'm trying to stick to the jaunty defaults except for short periods when I test specific workarounds etc).
Unfortunately, after more extensive testing I also have to report that the vblank_mode=0 trick only postpones the freezes a little bit but they do appear after running a while. I have also been running with Khashayar's drirc for a few hours and some thing there. The freezes re- appears after a while. Right now I have no way of reliably working around this bug, back to square one. Cube spinning does seem to get slower if I have a lot of firefox windows on each cube side but in that case it gets sort of linearly slower and I never get complete freezes, still I have this unscientific feeling that having lots of windows up and possibly also running openGL apps like "chromium BSU" or the screensaver preview dialog will actually make the freezes reappear faster. -- [GM45] with EXA compiz animations cause temporary freezes https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/320813 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
