No need to blacklist ath_pci the boot problem has been fixed in Jaunty,
no more kernel panic, install and boot there is no problems. Only thing
at the moment is that once installed in Hardware Drivers you need to
remove the Atheros driver that is installed by default and reboot and
then it works, although I keep getting intermittent dropouts during high
bandwidth usage, but this has been filed elsewhere under Jaunty alpha.

Details above are current and working as of 23rd Jan 2009, cannot
guarantee this will be the same in the final version of Jaunty, as
packages/code may change which may re-affect the above problem. Perhaps
others with the same laptop/hardware can test the ISO's as well?
