Please change phonon to use pulseaudio (kcmshell4 kcm_phonon). This
should fix that problem :)

When you started your session pulse probably didn't obtain complete
hardware lock yet. After some time (using some apps) it will and then
prevent Amarok (and it's audio subsystem) to access the audio hardware.
