Using 0.9.2 to "restore" the integrated video output would simpliy be PLAIN STUPID. It was disabled in 0.9.4 onward as the code involves crash-prone race conditions. If you want the integrated video, keep the latest VLC version and patch it.
By all means, 0.9.2 is buggier than 0.9.4 which is buggier than 0.9.8a. I strongly suggest this bug be closed as a Wontfix. -- VLC 0.9.4 has lots of bugs.
