You can modify the Device section in /etc/X11/xorg.conf to include: Driver "vesa" I think this is the same as booting in "Safe graphics mode", and gives you a working desktop on Ubuntu.
Unfortunately, this bypasses the Intel driver and the B202 processor alone is not sufficient to run a smooth TV picture with the Panasonic native resolution. On Hardy, Intel driver worked with the LVDS Ignore option in xorg.conf, but on Intrepid, I have not managed to get the Intel driver working with any of the X configurations. I have tried both with a DVI-VGA adapter and a DVI-HDMI adapter. I have also tried with the test driver (2:2.5.1-1ubuntu5~intrepid) suggested by upstream, with no success in the DVI-HDMI case. I guess I will reapply it and try again with the DVI- VGA adapter. I will try a Jaunty alpha live install next, just to see if there's hope. -- [i945] X failure with eee box combined with Panasonic LCD projector https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/312714 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
