Interesting -- thanks. I'm now beginning to think my title "Bluetooth is completely broken on Ubuntu 8.10" is a bit inaccurate, as I just set up a Bluetooth PAN between my Ubuntu machine and a Vista machine, which worked very well. Unfortunately, everything else that I've tried is still broken. Maybe we could make a list of things that are and aren't broken, to try and narrow this down.
